The UNIX department are looking to increase their resource pool for Splunk within the Bank. We are seeking an experienced Splunk administrator who is familiar with all aspects of Splunk from architecture on a global basis to the development of reports and web dashboard.
This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast growing environment where Operational Intelligence is becoming key to our operations. The qualified candidate will be responsible for design, architecture, and implementation of the Splunk infrastructure in multiple locations around the globe. The individual will then also have to train infrastructure and application staff and educate them on the usage and support of Splunk.
Requirements:
* 7 years UNIX and Linux system administrator
* 2 years' experience with Splunk administration in a distributed 24x7 environment
* Proven experience of on boarding a number of application teams
* Prior experience in the Financial Services industry is a plus
* Excellent verbal and written communication is a must
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, enterprise environment
* Perl, shell scripting, Splunk PL, Python
* Broad industry knowledge of application monitoring and event management
* Strong Splunk Search and Configuration knowledge
* Architectural knowledge of the various Splunk tiers
* Sizing, scaling and growth of the Splunk platform
You will be expected to hit the ground running as existing projects are already in flight and the requirements for further infrastructure across the globe are a high priority.
