Senior Red HAT Enterprise Linux Administrator

Introduction

Your main responsibilities:

Coordinating and coaching Linux team members on a daily basis;
Maintaining operating systems and associated infrastructure software: Installation, patching and upgrades, RPM packaging, Mail/SMTP, Web (Apache, Tomcat), FTP's, DNS, Proxy, Firewall (NAT, IP Tables, Packet Filter, IP Filter), LDAP, NFS, CIFS;
Maintaining the stability of the infrastructure and application landscape by controlled change implementation, acting as a change coordinator for small, medium and large Linux related changes;
Strong focus on IT Security.

Your experience and skills:

Bachelor/Master Degree preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields (or equivalent experience);
At least 7 years Linux systems administration experience, specifically in managing or supporting Red Hat and/or Centos Linux in production environments;
Experience with configuring of Linux guests in a VMware ESX environment, knowledge of NetApp Storage, NFS, or related technologies;
Experience with management tooling like Kickstart, Puppet, Spacewalk/Red Hat Satellite, HP Operations Manager;
Knowledge of and large practical experience with ITIL and preferably Oracle;
Highly skilled in a at least two typical Scripting languages (Shell/bash, Perl, python, ruby).

Good interpersonal, customer service, result oriented and team building skills;
Excellent communication skills - written, verbal, and presentation in English (required) and Dutch (preferred).

Your team and challenge
You will be part of the Infrastructure Service Delivery team consisting of 25 IT professionals. You will also work closely with other IT teams across the organization such as Database and VMware administration, Network and Security teams, Application team, Project and Business Technology Management. In total over 130 professionals within Technology & Operations play a key role in building a state-of-the-art global operation that matches the company's ambition.
