Infrastructure Architect - Design, Devops, Document, Linux, UNIX, SricptingAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Infrastructure Architect /Devops Consultant to work with an innovative company based in Leeds.
As an Infrastructure Architect / Devops Consultant you will be required to carry out analysis of the current UNIX/Linux stack and identify potential for improvement and provide a solution for the bottlenecks.
The Role of an Infrastructure Architect / Devops Consultant:
To carry out the analysis, optimizing and streamlining of the Infrastructure environment.
Look at the stacks, understand why it's been built the way it has, write bash scripts (in Perl ideally), running scripts and doing tests.
The rate: £ per day
Location: Leeds
Contract length: 3 - 6 months
Infrastructure Architect / Devops Consultant essential experience:
Linux
Apache Webserver
Bash Scripting (Perl)
Mod Proxy / Mod rewrite
Monitoring tools
Infrastructure Architect / Devops Consultant desirable skills:
Terminal servers / Windows stack
Redis (key value database)
Samba, Automount
Networking (configuring firewall for hardware/software)
As this is a task orientated role to improve access content within the organisation, we are looking for someone who can work individually using his/her own initiative who has done a similar role before.
