Software QA tester with ISTQB, C++, C#, Fortran, Python, SQL, Agile, Teamcity and automating testing requierd tot join a prominent organisation based in The Hague, Netherlands. The role offers an attractive hourly rate of €60.
Key Skills & Background
- Bachelor`s degree in computer engineering, information technology, computer science or a related discipline.
- 4+ years experience
- Experience with functional and performance testing tools, processes and methodologies
- Experience and affinity with performance testing (of databases, network etc)
- Experience and affinity with security testing
- Experience with functional defect tracking tools
- Experience in processing large amounts of data
- Experience writing code to automate testing tasks
- ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board) certified (first level)
- Good knowledge of the following programming languages: C++, C#, Fortran, Python
- Good knowledge of Squish (or similar tooling) for automating GUI tests
- Ability to clearly report issues
- Basic knowledge of SQL
- Basic knowledge of FIT
- Basic knowledge of TeamCity
- Affinity with web development using PHP
- Experience and preference to work in an Agile environment, with a burning desire to continuously improve that environment

About the role
- Work with software architects, developers and business representatives throughout the software development life cycle to develop software functional test cases and test scripts
- Create and maintain test scenarios by using the appropriate technology
- Work on cases with high complexity, requiring in-depth knowledge of the technology and business requirements
- Work on multiple cases at once and balance priorities
- Be responsible for the full testing life cycle, from designing test plans to executing and writing test documentation
- Be responsible for running automated tests and contributing to the evolution of the automated testing suite of tools
- Be responsible to ensure quality standards, procedures and methodologies are being followed
- Be responsible for defininig test approach
- Provide estimation for test efforts
- Analyse cause/impact of technical change apply to system which impact performance/capacity
- Execute performance test and analyse test results
- Report undestandable test results
