Description
I am working with an Acute NHS Trust on the Sussex coast who are seeking to appoint an experienced Service Manager for a period of 6 months.Following a recent re-organisation of services, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Director of Operations and 4 General Managers with responsibility for the management of Clinical Specialities which will include Head & Neck, Surgery & Anaesthetics. In addition to this, you will support the Clinical Leads in these Specialties. You will be an experienced interim Service or General Manager and be experienced in managing NHS services, particularly surgical services. Other key responsibilities of this assignment will include:
-Drive the delivery of the Trust and service performance plans
-Consistently review service delivery and highlight areas of concern
-Work with Quality leads to ensure consistent improvements to Patent Safety
-Ensure departments are staffed adequately to deliver the service to the highest possible standard
-Lead on all Departmental targets include 18 weeks RTT
-Deputise for General Managers where required
-You will also ideally come from a Clinical background but this is not essential
