SENIOR RAN DESIGN ENGINEER/DESIGN ENGINEER - THE NETHERLANDS

We are currently recruiting for a Senior RAN Design Engineer to join a leading telecommunications vendor based in Stein, Netherlands on a contract basis.

The purpose of the role is to handle the increased workload and the customer's project; we are looking for a candidate who can fulfil the position of Senior RAN Designer/Architect, within the RAN Development domain.

Key responsibilities of the Senior RAN Design Engineer will include the following;

  • Support the SDU Network Deployment with the various Roll out Programs
  • Produce High Level & Low Level designs or contribute cross domain and End to End Network designs
  • As a designer, participate in and contribute to RAN SW and HW upgrade projects
  • As a designer participate in and contribute to Pilot of Trial projects
  • Knowledge of LTE, RF Planning and HW/Technology in the RF domain like RBS, eNodeB, de RNC etc.
  • Consults with customer and anticipates, recognizes and meets/exceeds customers' expectations
  • Can generate Add-on sales by identifying and translating the customers' needs into new Services

To be successful in this role you must have the following experience;

  • Broad experience and proven track record in Roll Out Programs
  • Strong experience with and knowledge of GSM/UMTS/LTE technologies
  • HW configurations and SW parameters
  • Advanced understanding of Wireless Network architecture, Technologies, Spectrum concepts and standards (eg 3GPP, ITU-T)
  • Ability to delegate and steer a small team of designers
  • Counterpart for customers, project management and higher management
