My client a top tier investment bank is looking for a VBA Developer with SAS knowledge ideally to join their expanding team based in Bristol.

Summary:
- VBA - Expert. Specific skills:
- ADODB Connectivity
- Forms
- Class modules
* Office suite - Expert. Access, Excel and Interoperability.
* SQL - Advanced. Able to understand code to a reasonable level of
complexity. Occasional data extracting as well.
* Desirable would be previous LBG exposure, mortgage exposure, and
some SAS usage.

Detail:
- Solution design skills to design, deliver and support a Solution
across an MS Office / Teradata / PC SAS / WAN based End User environment.
1) Technical lead for project
2) VBA application design & development skills
3) Multi-platform database design skills (SAS, MS Access &
Teradata)
4) Experience of designing Decision Support Tools
5) An understanding of underlying Modelling & Analysis
techniques and tools
6) An understanding of the Mortgage business and ideally
Mortgage Pricing.

- Teradata skills
1) Good SQL development skills
2) A good understanding of MMTT (Mortgage) data and Group
Data Warehouse environment
3) Understanding and use of Teradata Utilities (Fastload /
BTEQ utilities in particular)

- A sound understanding of the Windows XP operating system and LAN
infrastructure
1) Command line execution and automation.
2) Network topology and associated data movement /
processing awareness in a distributed environment
3) Capable of developing batch files to automate and
manipulate file output at command line level

- Good PC SAS skills
1) To develop and maintain SAS automation scripts
2) Automating Excel & Access applications from SAS through
DDE
3) Shell execution (can develop batch files, issue commands
and manipulate file output at command line level)
4) A sound understanding of Microsoft Office (2007) and the VBA
Language variants
