Description
As an IT Enterprise Architect you will be working as a member of a high performing team with a commitment and mandate to deliver real change across the client bank. You will work closely with senior leaders and a wide range of key stakeholders in order to drive further innovation and effectiveness into client's application & IT estate, so we transform the customer's experience and business performance.The role involves defining what the organisation's strategies for Applications & IT should be in order to realise Bank's objectives and being pivotal in the activities required to achieve this, including:
- Developing and implementing IT strategies and roadmaps
- Working in multi-disciplinary teams (including with strategic vendors & partners)
- Engaging at an early stage of projects to provide direction and expertise
- Maintaining a comprehensive understanding of technologies and technology trends in areas of accountability
- Undertaking ad-hoc activities to support the goals of the department and the Society as a whole
- Operating across organisational and technology 'silos' to drive common approaches, exploit information assets and processes across the enterprise. Alignment of IT strategy and planning with bank's business goals.
- Optimization of information management approaches through an understanding of evolving business needs and technology capabilities.
Engagement with key business stakeholders to ensure relationships are developed and maintained - Promotion of shared capabilities and applications to reduce costs and improve business efficiency and information flows. Ensure that projects are aligned to business and IT strategies and do not duplicate functionality.
- Contribute to the development of the overall IT strategy.
- Assist in the development, publishing and promotion architectural policies and standards

You will need to think creatively and help others do the same, with a view to enhancing our ability to deliver our vision.

To succeed in this high profile role you will also have a degree in a relevant field, previous experience in data and application architecture and have strong verbal and written communication skills to Board level.
