Your function
We now have a challenging opening within our Global Procurement department for a talented and dynamic Category Buyer
As Category Buyer you are the top expert who ensures the optimal balance of cost, values and risk in new contracts and renewals with the suppliers used by DLL in the area's of Professional Services (Legal, Consulting, Audit and Credit agencies). You report to the Group VP Global Procurement.
Responsibilities
Negotiation of new contract and renewals to achieve cost savings and to protect the interests of DLL. You will search of the right balance between cost savings, value, risks, legal protections and long-term viability of partnership with supplier.
Leading and ensure that RFP (Request for Proposal) procedures are conducted in the right way and that renewals are executed in a timely manner.
Support the Category Manager in execution of Strategic Sourcing initiatives according to chosen sourcing methodology.
Manage key contract and supplier data so that decision support information is readily available for senior management.
Acting as subject matter expert for the category.
Define the implementation plan of the agreements made with the new suppliers and monitoring sourcing practices within DLL within the Scope of your category.
You have
Bachelors degree.
5-7 years of relevant working experience in one or more area's of the category.
Strong knowledge of procurement practices, contract law, contract components.
Good communication skills.
Fluent speaking and writing in English.
