Our client, a global leading microelectronics organisation, is looking for a Senior Application Engineer to work on a long term contract basis within their engineering division. They are looking for a suitable candidate to join ASAP where the position will be based in the Netherlands. The Senior Application Engineer will be working in developing IC’s for audio solutions in mobile devices and wireless charging solutions.Job Description:
As a Senior Application Engineer you will involve in the R&D projects and customers support activities.
In the R&D phase of the IC design you will work with other application engineers on a variety of application tasks within the IC development team. You have a good understanding of the IC functions and features that are important to our customer. In the preparation phase towards the validation you help to define validation strategy and create test items to cover the IC and system level requirements. Development of automated bench testing (in Labview) is an important task to meet time to market and improve reproducibility of test results. Validation at the bench is an important task to check if the IC meets the system requirements to finally secure a smooth design-in at our customers.
Your job would also include development of application hardware for IC validation and reference designs for customers. Defining the application hardware requirements is part of the responsibility. Hardware development includes circuit design, component selection and guiding the PCB layout.
In the customer engagement phase you will assist customer support team realizing the first design-in at our customers. As a product expert you will help to create product support package and realize custom made demonstrators. You will also give product integration training to customers and support organization.
Job Requirements:
• B.Sc. or Master Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• You MUST have strong experience as an Application Engineer who likes to work in innovative R&D environment with good knowledge about audio circuits and or audio processing.
• You MUST have experience with Labview or Phyton for bench test automation.
• You MUST have experience with hardware development and knowledge of Audio amplifiers and power conversion (e.g. class-D / DC-DC conversion).
• Experience with digital (and analog) audio signal processing (e.g. DSP, ADC, DAC).
• Pragmatic problem solving and good team player are keys in this position.
• Able to take ownership of the activities and execute independently.
• Good communication skills, team player, fluent in English.
