A global pharmaceutical company is looking for an Interim Head of Engineering to oversee their site in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany.This is an excellent opportunity to be responsible for ongoing projects on site. The successful candidate will have a chance to have an input as well as make a difference.
Site:
Secondary manufacturing site in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany.
Approx. 10 billion tablets manufactured per year.
Location: Saxony-Anhalt, Germany
Start: 1st December 2014
Duration: 6-12 months contract
Role and Responsibilities:
• Oversee and co-ordinate the client site in Saxony-Anhalt.
• Manage stakeholders and report into the steering committee.
• Supervise Engineering and Maintenance teams on site.
• Ensure all standards are kept up-to-date and harmonised with processes on site.
• Ensure processes run smoothly.
• Co-ordinate budgets, timelines and approvals for projects on site.
• Advise on technical issues throughout the duration of the ongoing projects.
• Represent the company’s Global Engineering department on site and ensure that corporate and regulatory guidelines are adhered to.
Requirements:
• Pharmaceutical Engineering background (mechanical, chemical, electrical engineering or similar).
• Background within the (bio-) pharmaceutical industry, GMP/FDA experience.
• Previous experience as Head of Manufacturing/Production,Engineering Head or similar.
• Extensive Oral Solid Dosage experience.
• Very good understanding of operation and maintenance processes.
• Experience dealing with high end strategies, upgrade projects, installation of new production lines, full life-cycle projects etc.
• Budget experience.
• Fluent German and English skills - spoken and written.
• Able to communicate and build relationships with stakeholders from various different backgrounds.
• Able to work in a highly pressurised environment and to drive projects forward.
