Description
I am currently seeking a Principle / Senior Information Analyst Developer to work in Central London, England, on an interim basis on an initial 6 month contract with a view to an extension.You Will Be Required To Do / Have Experience In:
- Extensive practical experience of using SQL to build tables, design updates and extract data
- To respond swiftly and efficiently to internal and external information requests, using SQL, the data warehouse and Excel. - To use initiative to undertake follow-up queries to complex information requests where the solution is not immediately obvious
- Strong Reporting and SSRS skills
- Strong communication skills
- To proactively review specialty or procedure based activity within Divisions, drawing appropriate attention to areas that may have a current or future impact on the performance of the Trust
- To provide statistical analysis and profiles of trends within patient and Trust information, highlighting variances from the norm, and share this knowledge with Trust managers and others, to support decision making and performance improvement
- To develop information analysis function - producing new reports, enhancing the skills of internal clients so they can extract their own reports, and participating in change management processes
- To have/develop knowledge of patient-related and other relevant databases and their purposes. To seek to extend the knowledge base by expanding the information available from these applications
- To have knowledge of NHS Data standards and to apply those
standards to Trust data. To work with the services, liaising with clinical, administrative and managerial staff, to effect improvements in data quality where necessary
- Use of Business Objects or similar query tool
- Able to present information to groups of staff at all levels; can clearly and tactfully explain the content / meaning of reports
- Understanding of NHS data standards
- Familiarity with performance indicators/healthcare standards
