Solution Designer/Lead BI Solutions Designer/Business Intelligence/Slough
Our client, an IT Consultancy, is looking to recruit the services of an experienced Solution Designer, with a Business Intelligence background, to work on a client-site based in either Slough. The role will involve designing solutions around Business Intelligence to meet functional and non functional requirements, definition of specifications and hands on development. Working closely with the customer to identify key drivers and communicate the rationale and benefits, the role will require excellent interpersonal skills at all levels within an organisation.
Essential skills
Proven Business Intelligence solution design experience/projects
End to end project experience with strong business awareness, influencing and presentation skills
Proven ability to deliver flexible, bespoke IT solutions
A good knowledge of integration technologies
A working knowledge of technical architecture disciplines (ideally application)
A working knowledge of development processes (eg RAD, Agile, RUP)
Practical experience of software development- ideally from a Java background
Proven ability to gather business requirements and design solutions based on those requirements
Strong understanding of industry trends (ie Web Services/Service Oriented Architecture)
