Mechanical Design Engineer, Creo, Pro/Engineer, 3D, Electronics, Plastic Injection Moulding, £35- £40 ph, 3 months, CambridgeshireLOCATION: Cambridgeshire (commutable from Peterborough, Cambridge, Lincoln, Downham Market, Northampton, Leicester)
CONTRACT LENGTH: 3 months initially (good chance of extending)
THE PROJECT:
A leading Electronics company in Cambridgeshire have an immediate 3 month requirement for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join them on a project.
You will be working on the design of a high volume product, with cost constraints.
For this role you should be an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer, who has used the ( Pro/Engineer ) ProE - Creo CAD package. You should have experience designing products using plastics, as well as designing for electronic enclosures.
You will be the lead Mechanical Design Engineer on this project, so you should be someone who feels comfortable taking responsibility.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
ProEngineer (ProE) - Creo CAD experience
Designing in plastics
An understanding of mould tool design
Experience of designing enclosures for electronic / electrical devices
Experience of designing mechanisms (this is not essential)
