I have an urgent requirement from a leading financial services client in Bristol who have a requirement for a SAS Analyst.Location: Bristol
Duration: 6 months +
Rate: £ 500 p/d
Start Date: November
The role-
This role is within the Insurance Finance - Life, Pensions & Investments (LP&I) Model Production. Responsibilities centre on the production of model runs for all PRA/FCA regulated companies. In particular, they focus on ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the set up of the model and the extraction of completed run results into spreadsheets;
Key responsibilities
1. Month end and year end model production in both Prophet Enterprise and Prophet 7.
2. Reviewing assumption inputs before the model is run.
3. Extraction of Prophet results into Excel spreadsheets, which may require manipulation in Excel.
4. Running SAS to create data sets that are appropriate to be run through the model.
Skills-
Previous financial service experience preferable, while previous experience of working in an office environment requiring analytic skills would be an advantage.
Knowledge of and practical use of Prophet and/or other actuarial modelling software.
Willingness to improve understanding of the Insurance business, with a proactive and questioning approach.
Strong Excel and analytical skills with the ability to explain anomalies in a clear and concise manner. SAS training would be an advantage.
Self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure both in isolation and with other teams.
Strong team player and willingness to help others within the team. With the ability to plan and prioritise own work.
Prepared to take responsibility for specific tasks, own them and ensure that they are completed
