Senior Network engineer French/Dutch/English Braine-l'Alleud 6 months
Part of the EMEA Network Services team of my client, the Network Engineer is responsible for installing, maintaining and supporting LAN, WAN and network security infrastructures.
This is a unique opportunity to join a team with very broad responsibility and very interesting projects & technologies.
Those initiatives will be mainly focused on Cisco Networking technologies.
Daily duties:
Provide high-level technical support for different network services, creates and maintains network documentation, maintains hardware and software standards, and works projects as needed in order to upgrade to new and/or improved communication equipment and procedures.
The Network Engineer must be well versed with the advanced engineering and administration of Routers, multilayer Switches, network security devices and network management systems.
Participate in design discussion regarding new projects/technologies implementation (DMZ, Extranet improvement, Manufacturing Network segregation, Firewall, user VPN access, ISE, URL filtering, implementation of F5, InfoBlox, Nexus).
It would also be key for the engineer to have a good understanding of network security aspects and Data Center network, including Cisco ASA appliances, load balancing (ACE & F5), sourcefire, Cisco WSA
He/she will also provide guidance in large network design projects, document solution, provide configuration template, validate solution in a test environment,
Duties involve among others:
- Provide IT network solutions that address business requirements.
- Manage Network security changes (ASA Firewall, ACL, VPN)
- Put in place complex network changes.
- Provide Level 2 to 3 network troubleshooting support.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all implemented network services.
- Assist in preparation of proposals and solution presentations.
