Description
My NHS requires an IT Project Manager to manage the delivery of projects that support the development of the Trust's ICT Strategy in both clinical and non-clinical environments. This includes any IT projects that come under the remit of the National Programme for IT.The post holder will be expected to manage the projects within a PRINCE 2 project environment, which will include Project Leads, Project Boards and line management of Project Teams involving multidisciplinary staff. All projects are expected to be benefits driven with an emphasis on establishing benefits delivery.
The role will require working across all Trust sites on an initial 12 month contract.
Experience needed:
- Experience of project managing the delivery of new NHS EPR Systems
- Experience of working in a clinical environment
- Understanding of the Data Protection Act and Information Governance.
- Understanding of the role of the Caldicott Guardian.
- Experience of co-ordinating or planning activities for a group(s) of staff.
- Experience of working within a framework of local or national policies, strategies or guidelines.
- Knowledge, understanding and experience of programme and project management in the NHS and within a PRINCE 2 environment.
- Experience of preparing project/programme documentation e.g. Business Cases, Project Initiation Documents, Project Plans, Highlight Reports, Exception Reports within a PRINCE 2 environment.
- Understanding and experience of the management of risks.
- Knowledge and understanding of the NHS IT.
