Senior Financial Analyst

Description

Senior Financial Analyst required for a 6 month contract in London, to review, analyse and challenge business plans and periodic results and forecasts. Develop, implement and apply consistently across the function analytical tools, systems and processes to benchmark performance, making recommendations for improvements where appropriate

Key Accountabilities
Review, analyse and challenge the business plan submissions for compliance with targets.
Lead the development of consistent models and financial analysis of all activities, including the setting of benchmarking and best practice, internal and external, for all activities.
Provide the appropriate management information and support to budget holders for control of expenditure and business case development.
Derive from analysis and discussions, opportunities for improvement. Propose actions to budget holders.
Monitor and report on progress in the implementation of efficiencies identified in the business plan.
Manage the production of reporting packs for management reviews.
Creating a Financial model to manage the long term financial performance.
Providing insight into business performance across safety, asset, people, customers etc.
Supporting consolidation and streamlining of reporting.
Setting up KPI's and reporting framework for the route to manage its business.

Job Skills, Experience and Qualifications

Essential
Student/part membership (or equivalent) of the relevant professional body having progressed to the final stage of qualification, or possession of sufficient experience to fulfil the requirements of the role without membership of the relevant professional body
Experience in project accounting for large construction projects

Desirable
Full membership of relevant professional body
2 years' post qualification experience
3 years' experience within finance disciplines
