Description
Oracle DBA is required to join the Projects Team with relevant Production Support DBA experience and background within financial services is crucial.
The role provides exposure to leading edge software technology and underlying platforms operating mission critical services to the group.
You will be required to work closely with the Principal Oracle Engineer, Live DBA's and Management to ensure that the processes and solutions deployed are leading edge and fit for purpose.
Competencies:
- Providing technical leadership and troubleshooting assistance to other DBAs.
- Lead the resolution of complex issues on high profile Projects.
- Project DBA and Infrastructure Support
- Provide high quality database services to Projects delivering to time and specification.
- Excellent Performance tuning, optimisation and production experience required.
Technical skills:
- Expertise in Oracle 11g including RAC and Dataguard.
- UNIX (primarily AIX, Linux)
- Shell Scripting.
