Infrastructure Solution Architect - BANKING - £550/day - LondonMy client, a leading global bank, is looking for a contractor to join their team on a 6 month rolling contract.
They are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Solution Architect. It is important that the candidate has a good mixture of technical ability & knowledge as well as business knowledge / consultancy approach.
The Infrastructure Solution Architect will be able to:
* Provide leadership in the definition and implementation of solutions for a variety of different projects
* Engage with a wide range of stakeholders in order to deliver feasibility studies and technical options
* Formulate solutions, based upon business requirements, taking into account our architectural principles and standards using our defined architectural artefacts, including the production of architecture documentation and presentations.
* Provide technical leadership to technical domain teams, working closely with them in the implementation of these solutions.
Technically we are looking for someone with a broad range of skills to include some of the following,
- Operating systems - Linux (RHEL, SuSe), Solaris, AIX and Windows
- Databases - Oracle, SQL and DB2
- Virtualisation knowledge using VMWARE for Linux and Windows
- Understanding of INTEL architecture
- High End storage knowledge including replication products
- Understanding of Middleware products, WAS, WMQ, IHS
- Understanding of Hardware security modules or other security encryption devices
- Networking and Network performance
