Design Engineer - Mechanical - Pro/ENGINEER - Dundee - Contract - £25-£27PH - 3 MonthsMy client, based in Dundee, is a world leader in the Design and Manufacture of computer hardware, software and electronic products and services that enable businesses to connect, interact and transact with their customers. They are currently looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer (Contractor) proficient with Pro/E (Pro/ENGINEER or Creo Elements) to design, test and evaluate a new range of mechanical and electro-mechanical devices and systems for an initial period of 3 months with a high chance of the project running on for longer.
Activities:
- Carry out complex activities relating to the design, testing and evaluation of mechanical and electro-mechanical devices and systems
- Complete product development activities, including drawing board layout and interpretation and implementation of customer specifications
- Provide guidance and training to lower level professional and technical staff
Requirements:
- Proficient with Pro/E (Pro/Engineer or Creo Elements)
- Established experience designing at all stages of a life cycle with good experience of designing around integrated electronics
- Engineer Assist in the design of both sheet metal and plastic components.
- To have previous experience of designing component parts from concept to Production
- Engineers to have had several years experience of designing both sheet metal and plastic components to a high standard
