Permanent Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, North Aberdeen. Excellent Salary Package.Progressive GE are currently working with a specialist completions company in the recruitment of a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis within their office based in North of Aberdeen.
On a day to day basis you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring that all product specifications are interpreted in line with clients niche requirements into fit for purpose drawings and designs.
- Development and maintenance of test procedures and reports
- Provide assembly and test assistance
- Preparation of all technical documentation and operation manuals
- Provide assistance with any field problems that may arise
- Mentor and develop more junior engineers
Previous experience and qualifications required:
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent engineering degree
- Extensive experience within the O&G industry ideally within the downhole environment
- A fair understanding of rig systems
- An understanding of downhole hydraulics
- Experience of both 2D and 3D modelling
