Job Title: Senior Software Developer in Test (DVB/MPEG, Automation)
Location: Amsterdam
Rate - €55 - €70 per hour
Contract Length: 6 month rolling contract
Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Test to work for one of our dynamic and international clients, you will be responsible for defining, developing, executing and maintaining an automated test environment. This is a Software Developer/Software Engineer position - not a testing position. Our client sits within the Digital TV sector therefore a knowledge of DVB/MPEG is Required.
Key Requirements:
- 5+ years hands on experience with Windows and Linux, Java, PHP, MySQL, MS web technologies, MS SQL
- Understanding of DVB/MPEG
- Experience with a Scripting language (such as Python)
- Experience of SQL as a super user (inner joins, outer joins, stored procedures, etc.)
- Familiarity with web technologies, web services and browser-based software such as JSON/JSONP, SOAP/XML, jQuery (hands-on experience is a strong plus)
- ISTQB Test Analyst or ISEB practitioner certificate - completed or in progress
- Excellent communication skills/verbal and written English
- Experience with agile development is a plus (eg SCRUM) is considered a plus
