Manager/Team Leader/SOX/Banking

An exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Manager/Team Leader to work with my client, a leading global retail bank, to lead their SOX Team.

The successful incumbent will be responsible for:

- Managing the global SOx teams the UK and Noida and ensure that there is a buy-in in terms of the work that needs to be done and drive a one team spirit within the team
- Maintaining relationships with key department heads involved in the SOx process, across all infrastructure areas
- Managing the team to deliver the SOx compliance testing plan effectively and efficiently as well as any other testing that might be required as part of the overall group conformance testing plan.
- Managing the relationship with external auditors.
- This role will require travel to Northampton two days a week.

It is essential that the successful candidate will have:

- Professional accountancy qualification - ACCA/ACA, CIMA
- Ability to understand, implement and drive improvements to a risk & control framework
- Overall understanding of 'minimum standards' for SOx and control issues reporting
- Controls experience in an audit (internal or external) setting within the financial services industry.
- Team management experience for teams of more than 5 people.
