2 additional positions open for Quantity Surveyors from a mobile or civils background, to work for a Telecommunications Vendor who are a leader in their market. 3 months initial contract position. Daily rates are competitive.
Main Role Purpose:
To manage the site construction costs for large telecommunications project to assess and evaluate costs provided by partner and to add value engineering to solutions.
Will report into the technical director
Key Skills and Desirable Experience:
- RICS or CIOB accreditation
- Degree or similar
- 5 years minimum experience within construction
- Good knowledge of construction within the Telecommunication industry
- Experience and knowledge of network deployment and delivery projects
- Experience of working with blue chip clients
- Professional structured approach to working on own initiative
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience of working in a multi-cultural environment
- Experience of managing sub-contractors
Main Responsibilties:
- Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the Partner and/or the client
- Undertaking costs analysis for project work
- Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks
- Preparing and analysing costs for tenders
- Valuing completed work and approving of payments
- Understanding the implications of health and safety regulations
- Providing advice on contractual claims
