Infrastructure Analyst - 3 month contract - Stafford - £200 a dayAn Infrastructure Specialist is required for a 3 month contract opportunity.
The ideal candidate would have the following skills;
-5 years minimum in server based environments
-3 to 5 years minimum Hyper-V experience
-Recent System Centre experience
-VMWare experience
This post is working at a senior technical level. It is primarily responsible for the operation of a Corporate ICT Infrastructure and software that the businesses workforce is highly reliant upon.
The nature of the post means that it may also be seconded into virtual planning or project teams as ICT workload demands working with Technical Leads and Technical Project managers in such circumstances.
The ideal candidate would proactively manage the Infrastructure to ensure that service availability and performance is optimised, assisting in development of automated event monitoring and recovery routines as required.
*In conjunction with agreed procedures build, secure and test new Infrastructure environments (servers, storage, backups, resilience etc.) to minimise the risk of a security breach such as unauthorised access, data loss or virusmalware infection.
*To achieve optimal availability of services follow the IT Infrastructure Libraries (ITIL) best practise guidance outlining the approach to areas including Problem, Incident, Change, Configuration and Release management.
*Ensure that proactive tasks, checks and administrative activities are carried out on the businesses ICT Infrastructure as assigned by line management and that they are carried out in a timely manner and in accordance with agreed procedures and standards.
*Proactively manage the Infrastructure to ensure that service availability and performance is optimised, assisting in development of automated event monitoring and recovery routines as required.
*In conjunction with agreed procedures build, secure and test new Infrastructure environments (servers, storage, backups, resilience etc.) to minimise the risk of a security breach such as unauthorised access, data loss or virusmalware infection.
*Contribute, taking into account relevant legislation, data protection, security and other standards, to the continuous improvement of Infrastructure services, including the planning, deployment and testing of availability, business continuity & disaster recovery provision.
*Provide management reports highlighting service availability, performance and contribute to the capacity plan.
The start date for this position is the 24th November, but they would wait for the right person until Monday 1st December.
