Role: Software EngineerLocation: Guildford
Rate: £45 - £50 per hour
Duration: 6 months
This position has been created by the head of technology which is working on an exciting healthcare project.
The role will require that you support software development activities for product development designed in accordance with the appropriate standards to meet the user/market requirements as specified.
You will also be involved in the design of software components and risk analysis to identify necessary mitigations. In addition to this, the role will require issue tracking, resolution and documentation in addition to developing software in a range of areas including: embedded software (Microcontrollers, Bluetooth) and PC and web-based Application software.
Key skills required are:
* Technical competency
* C, C++, C#
* Embedded software development tool chains and debugging environment
* Knowledge of XML, .NET framework, SQL
* Comfortable in interacting with numerous engineering disciplines (mechanical, electronics, software etc.)
* Strong analytical approach
* Good communicator
Required qualifications/experience
* Engineering or related technical degree
* 5 years plus experience in software development and verification
* Medical Device Software Development is preferred
* Desirable: Familiarity with SW requirements of medical devices (for example standard IEC62304, FDA SW qualifications etc.)
