Due to masisve growth and culture change, Thames Water is looking for Wholesale and Retail Domain Architects to come in and help develop and be part of the next big step of IT stratgey in our organisation.

As a Domain/Business Systems Architect, you will work in partnership with the Business and the Thames Water IS Engagement and Delivery teams (internal and external) to design and communicate Architectures and high-level structures to enable and guide the design and development of integrated solutions that meet current and future business needs.

You will provide changes to service, process, organisation, operating model and other aspects may be required in addition to technology components, and solutions must demonstrate how agreed requirements (such as automation of business processes) are met, any requirements which are not fully met or, and any options or considerations which require a business decision.

You will also be required to provide comprehensive guidance on the development of, and modifications to, solution components to ensure that they take account of relevant architectures, strategies, policies, standards and practices and that existing, and planned solution components remain compatible.

To be considered for this role you will need a number of the skills/Competencies/Experience below:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Significant Experience as a Senior Solution Architect defining Systems Architectures to support a Common & Group Services Business Function, ideally within a Water Utility or similar organisation.
  • Strong knowledge of architecture methodologies, principles and frameworks, ideally ISO 42010 and TOGAF.
  • Experience of SAP desirable but not essential
  • Business domain knowledge (IT, HR, Finance, Supply Chain, Legal etc.)
  • Experience in working with 3rd party Delivery partners
  • Ability to translate complex problems into simple Architectures
