We are a small agency that is located in Boston with client work throughout California and Hawaii. We are a print + digital design agency that has worked with large and small clients including, NBCUniversal, the City of Anaheim, Waldorf Astoria, Hilton Hotels and more. We also work with a variety of PR + governmental affairs agencies in the Greater LA region.
WHAT WOULD YOU BE DOING?
You’ll be working directly with our design + project management team. You will be charged with slicing design concepts and creating fully responsive websites. You will not need to interface directly with clients, however, you will be asked to step in to help our team on the technical side every once in awhile.
WHERE + WHEN WILL YOU BE DOING IT?
Our whole team works remotely as will you! With that said, we are looking for someone that can be available throughout the day as sometimes we have work that needs urgent attention. The majority of our clients are on the West coast and most of our team works on Pacific time 8 AM - 5 PM. Are you a nightowl? That’s fine too. We just ask that you be communicative.
- Lives and breathes HTML, CSS, and Javascript. The best code is something that is highly extensible and modular. Creates webpages at will from either a hi-fi photoshop mockup or a wireframe.
- Loves libraries and frameworks. You can not only justify how to use them, you are able to read their source and adapt these resources to your immediate needs.
- Understands responsive design. You write elegant code that works well on all devices (phones, tablets, desktop).
- Is always up-to-date with the latest technologies. SASS, LESS, CSS animations, HAML, and Coffeescript and more!
- Easily creates assets from complex psd or Fireworks files.
- Makes web interactions/animations smooth and seamless.
- Takes a craftsmanship mentality to everything developed. Pixel point perfection is a must.
- Timeliness. You understands project timelines + deliverable deadlines. Completes projects on-time or ahead of time.
- You must be communicative! You share + contribute ideas to enhance the quality + functionality of the site.
PROFICIENT SKILLSET
- Web development – HTML, JavaScript, AJAX, CSS (strong JavaScript preferred)
- Knowledge of PHP, HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, Jquery
- Strong MySQL integration experience
- LAMP stack or equivalent
- Shell Scripting for (Linux/Unix)
- Linux or OS X server environment
- ASP.NET (some experience)
BONUS SKILLSET
- Web application development
- iOS / android development experience
- UI Experience
- Adobe Fireworks experience
