Description
My client is looking for three driven, experienced individuals to add to their reputable team as senior security analysts. The company culture of my client is well-known for being innovative, dynamic and collaborative, and as such, will be looking for someone who shares the same mentality.As a senior security analyst, you will be primarily located in the SOC performing real time monitoring and analysis on vulnerabilities, as well as security exploits. The chosen individual will assess each event afterwards based on the analytical information they have received and produce an intelligence output based on their findings. Threat focus meetings will also be required to be attended by the analyst.
In terms of skills, the successful candidate will require:
- High knowledge of SIEM products by way of practical use
- Team leadership experience (shift lead can also be an alternative)
- Excellent incident response skills
- Capable understanding of basic networking (TCP/IP) and operating systems (Windows, Unix) knowledge
- Proven technical knowledge within the operational security organisation, especially within the cyber security, security analytics, SIEM and governance & industry standards areas.
Any security analyst certifications held, such as GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH), GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst (GCIA) and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) would be beneficial, but they are not an essential requirement.
