Description
Embedded Linux Engineer required - Permanent, CambridgeEmbedded Linux Engineer is required to join a world renowned team developing Linux based embedded software. As an Embedded Linux Engineer you will be required to carry out a number of interesting tasks. Additionally you will be collaborating with all of the software development team to produce solutions that adequately address the product requirements.
The rate: £40,000 - £70,000

Essential Experience:
- Embedded Linux development
- Linux device driver development and troubleshooting
- Strong diagnostic and problem solving experience
- Strong C programming skills
- Use of jtag and other low level debugging tools
- Ability to work independently and develop working code that adheres to expected quality standards
- Experience developing multi-threaded applications utilising sockets interfaces
Key Tasks:
- Develop fit for purpose software that addresses identified opportunities
- Work with the product owner(s) and other stakeholders to establish product requirements
- Work with the programme office to ensure timely delivery of solutions against agreed metrics
- Support the software development process
