This role leads a number of the calculation work-streams in ensuring that customer redress is compliant, appropriate and optimised across all identified programmes for customer & product segments and business units

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead the interpretation of requirements, regulations and policies for redress populations
* Take ownership of part of the calculation portfolio, driving new solutions and process improvements
* Provide analysis of problem statements to deliver options for methods suitable for specific redress issues, including PPI
* Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements
* Provide expertise on a consultancy basis to all areas of Group as part of a redress calculation centre of excellence

Knowledge & Expertise:

* Knowledge of the FCA regulatory framework relating to complaints
* Knowledge of the Financial Services Strategy and the supporting business processes
* Proven project management capability; confident in driving and leading projects
* Proven experience of interrogation and analysis of complex datasets to provide senior stakeholders with useful operational and strategic insight
* Highly developed skills to prepare insightful management reports to a high standard with limited supervision
* Good knowledge of relational database concepts and ability to specify basic database queries
* Strong skills in the use of Microsoft Office toolsets (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
* Ability to influence and build constructive relationships within a team and through these relationships, champion the customer experience
* Ability to leverage knowledge of specialists as required (eg from Operations or Technology)
* Knowledge of the concept of 'Treating Customers Fairly' and how we can positively influence the business to consider this in all decisions

Experience & Qualifications:

* Accountancy qualification
* Retail Banking or Credit Card experience preferable
* Ability to collate, analyse complex data sets from disparate sources, comfortable with ambiguity.
* Attention to detail and analytical approach
* Flexible, agile and organised in working approach to ensure that they possess the ability to positively react to the continuous fluidity within the business
* Ability to adopt a process improvement approach when required
* Preference for experience of Data and MI analytics processes in large, financial services organisation.
* Experience in VBA and SQL coding useful but not essential
