MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
To deliver analytics services to the APAC client base and support APAC activities as part of the Strategy and Insight team.
JOB TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work closely with the Consultancy team on the delivery of analytics and modelling solutions
- Work closely with the Consultancy team on the compilation, running and results interpretation of SQL or SAS code for Strategic Services projects
- Provide appropriate advice and support to the Account Management teams
- Work closely with the Consultancy team on research of market trends
- Assume responsibility for ensuring all assigned projects are delivered to the client in a timely and accurate manner, with full internal and external documentation.
SKILLS AND PERSONAL QUALITIES:
- Experience with SQL and understanding of SQL programming and procedures essential
- Experience with SAS and understanding of SAS programming and procedures essential
- Experience with Siebel preferable
- Experience in analysing marketing, campaign and transactional data essential
- Experience with experimental design and multivariate testing desirable
- Understanding of regression models, and alternative modelling techniques, such as CHAID
- Client-facing project management skills, including planning, designing and shaping project work streams, managing progress, resolving issues and limiting risks is a definite advantage
- Solid problem solving skills, ability to analyse complex data, identify core issues, investigate, evaluate and reach appropriate conclusions/solutions
- Ability to communicate statistical techniques to a non-technical audience
- Strong communication, organization and time management skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Independent, proactive, mature and attention to detail
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Degree level educated - desirably in statistics, data or in a quantitative field
- Experience with databases comprised of data from multiple sources
- Experience within a hands-on data, reporting, campaign management, insight and/or analytical environment, incorporating data analysis and interpretation. Knowledge of direct marketing and email marketing
- Knowledge and experience of Telecommunications would be highly desirable.
- English speaking, reading and writing is essential. Mandarin or Japanese would be an advantage.
- 8+ years' experience within an analytical/marketing environment
