  • Responsible for analysing moderately complex business problems and deriving multiple solutions for our Business Partners to choose.
  • Demonstrates detailed insight to design and implement most of our business partner choices by either coding and testing an application or installing a purchased package and developing interfaces to other existing systems with little guidance.
  • Provides on going support and enhancements to these systems with efficient use.
  • Coaches others on technical skills. Reports to Leader Application Development.
  • On-Going Support and Enhancements: Provide ongoing support and enhancements to computer applications or packages which includes diagnosing problems, researching possible solutions, determining effects on the entire process, coding, thoroughly testing, documenting, and implementing. This includes setting up business processes within a package, customizations to packages/applications, interfaces to other applications, system testing, troubleshooting and correcting problems within the implementation phase of new package/application installation or new releases of an existing package/application. Proactively monitoring and continually enhance performance of application.
  • Analysis: Independently analyze moderately complex business problems by communicating with current and future process users. Document findings and communicate findings through written documents and models to stakeholders. The analysis tasks include understanding and researching functionality and applicable technology of both potentially new applications/packages and new releases of existing applications/packages. Engage other areas (Technical Support, Operations, ESI, ES&C, etc.) in initial analysis phases to identify infrastructure and support needs.
  • Design and Customize: Solves business problems by designing and customizing computer applications that will meet the business requirements by utilizing best practices, corporate standards and technology with guidance. Determine and outline multiple approaches and recommend best option. Manages Tasks/Projects: Manages daily priorities, support efforts, tasks related to projects and phases of small projects utilizing project management tools.
  • Coach: Coaches/mentors others on coding, testing, implementation, technology and business process. Interacts in a constructive manner with co-workers in order to create a synergy to develop business solutions.
  • Analytical Agility: Analyzes ambiguous and rapidly changing data, people and things; identifies key issues and draws logical conclusions.

Candidates Must be Local or Willing to Relocate at own expense.


Required Minimal Experience:

  • 1+ years - Independently manage own daily priorities and tasks resulting from support or project activities.
  • 1+ years - Experience managing small projects or phases of small projects (Preferred).
  • 3+ years - Experience in all application development concepts including analysis, design, programming and testing.
  • 1 to 2 years Crystal Reports - Experience writing sub and multi-tiered reports against database datasets
  • 2+ years - Visual Studio/.NET 4.0 - Working knowledge of TFS, understanding of Change Management/Migration tools and concepts. Some experience with .NET 1.1 also required.
  • 2 to 3 years - SQL Server
Required Skills:
  • Experience working with application in a Client Server environment, knowledge of applications run in VM environments (VMWare or HyperV).
Nice to have but not required:
  • Oracle and SQL Server - Experience with writing Stored Procedures, Reverse engineering Stored Procedures, creation of and run SQL queries against views
  • Associates Degree; Required. Bachelor's Degree; Preferred. Area of Study: Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related degree.
