Description
We are looking for a skilled Graphic Designer/Artworker to join a top financial services organisation based in Epsom. The role is a short term role to help them on a project and will suit someone who is in between work and looking for something to keep them busy.The primary responsibility of the role is to be working as part of the existing artwork team in designing new business reports and presentation documents (using InDesign and Microsoft Word) from concept to print production in accordance with our corporate identity/ guidelines including producing/formatting additional supporting materials/ diagrams in Illustrator, Photoshop, Powerpoint and Excel.
Other responsibilities-
Provide design/artwork support across different media, including print and online, from initial concept through to finished digital artwork.
Typical projects include: brochures, newsletters, posters, online (website/email) design.
The role requires production of documentation from concept through to conception incorporating creation of design briefs/solutions, managing client expectations, taking ownership of projects whilst work within tight deadlines.
As an Artwork Designer your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
Educated to GCSE/A level or equivalent
HND/Degree in Graphic Design is preferred
Experience working within a blue chip/financial institution in a similar new business/bid management role would be preferable
Excellent design skills/attention to detail working within Adobe Creative Suite on a PC, along with a good working knowledge of digital/litho printing techniques
Excellent knowledge of InDesign including style sheets, tables, preflight for printing and interactivity (buttons, bookmarks and hyperlinks). Good knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat including interactivity features and preferably use of Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Location: Epsom
Rates- been £20-25 per hour
Initial 2 month contract (with scope to extend)
