Ruby Developer with Front-end

TaxJar is a funded, early stage, startup with tremendous upside. We’re aimed at helping hundreds of thousands of online merchants on Square, Amazon, eBay, Shopify, Magento and other carts/marketplaces manage their sales tax compliance. We have a product that customers love, with an extremely strong conversion funnel, a proven business model and real revenues.

We're looking for an experienced full stack developer to be involved in multiple projects including optimization of our user onboarding experience as well as helping us scale our backend systems to reach more merchants.

Here's what we're looking for

Someone driven to make things look beautiful on our front end

Passion for building simple and intuitive solutions for complex problems in ecommerce.

Experience with connecting to 3rd party REST and SOAP APIs

Ability to write clear and accurate integration tests using RSpec

Prior SaaS application experience

Experience with a large, fast growing code base and multiple projects.

Knowledge in web technologies: Rails, Postgres, Heroku, Git, Sass, Javascript, JSON, Ajax, Bootstrap

Rapid learner who thrives in a fast-paced and demanding environment

Someone who is agile, humble, and a team player

More about the Job
This is a full-time remote position, but available to folks in the US. We have a remote team in different time zones so we ask you to work at least 6 hours overlap during 8am-5pm Central Time.
