Infrastructure Support Engineer - VMWare | EMC Storage | Cisco UCS | Contract | Czech Rep

My client has an urgent requirement for an Infrastructure Support Engineer to work on a contract role in Czech Republic.

For the Infrastructure Support Engineer to be successful they must have administration, configuration and management experience with the following technologies:

  • VMWare (vSphere 5, ESXi 5)
  • Cisco UCS Servers (including knowledge of UCS architecture)
  • EMC Storage

In particular, on vSphere 5 - experience with components HA, DRS, vDS, EVC, vMotion, storage vMotion in management and configuration, as well as hands on experience of UCS Manager and its components such as vSAN, vLAN creation and experience of Fabric Interconnect management via UCS Manager. The Infrastructure Support Engineer should have understanding of Cisco Nexus Switches, VNXe and vMAX Storage technologies. A strong level of knowledge of virtualised Servers and storage is essential for this Infrastructure Support Engineer and fundamentally a solid background working with VMWare, EMC and Cisco technologies is required to be successful in this role. Any additional experience with Nexus 1K, 5K and Cisco MDS Switches and any experience of working in a vBlock environment will be an added advantage.

Notwithstanding any guidelines given to years of experience sought, we will consider candidates from outside this range if they can demonstrate the necessary competencies.
