A global leading entertainment multimedia organisation is actively seeking Quality assurance engineers to work in their R&D centre in Edegem.
Job description:
Responsibilities:
Act as central knowledge base within R&D for customer end-to-end scenarios/test plans.
Customer acceptance validation of software and products under development.
Follow-up of projects as a technical knowledge center between business, customers and R&D.
Support Customer field reported issues & scenarios directly/indirectly (via CTS) by providing solutions, information and workarounds for customers in all 3 regions
Acts as a general interface between Program Management/R&D and CTS or customer.
Training of CTS/customers to stimulate the sales of Technicolor products.
Education:
Professional Bachelor or Master's Degree in Computer Science/Electronics
Informatics or similar by experience.
Experience:
Earlier experiences in the field of Embedded software and Telecommunications testing shall be considered as an advantage.
All earlier experiences with test automation and Scripting are advantageous.
Technical skills:
Understanding of common IT and SW concepts
Understanding of the following technologies: Ethernet, VLAN, 802.11, ATM, xDSL, IP routing, IPv4 & IPv6.
Good understanding of the TCP/IP protocol suite (incl. NAT, ALG, VPN, UPnP, DNS, DHCP). Also in an IPv6 context.
Hands on experience with IP Routers/gateways and IP Networks in general
Understanding basic concepts of the following applications and their extraction and communication of its contents, is not permitted without written authorization from Technicolor. Underlying technologies: VoIP, IPTV and DLNA/UPnP AV
Any experience with following test tooling is a plus: Wireshark, Spirent TestCenter, Ixia IxLoad, Ixia Chariot.
Knowledge of problem-analysis/troubleshooting
Knowledge of presentation/communication techniques.
Familiar with script based programming languages in general, with specific
interest for TCL and Bash
Understanding of mobile technologies (3G/4G, LTE) is considered a plus

Dutch is a plus.
