Financial Accountant - Competitive rate - Basingstoke
My client based is Basingstoke are looking for a qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) Financial Accountant to assist the Head Of Finance in ensuring that adequate financial control is exercised over the Company by ensuring compliance with Group and Statutory requirements and to assist in managing the Company's reporting, forecasting and budgeting processes to ensure that the company meets its agreed financial objectives.
You will be responsible for the following:
* Ensuring that effective controls are identified, implemented, enforced and constantly reviewed and maintained.
* Ensuring compliance with Company, Group and Statutory financial policies, regulations and standards.
* Ensuring compliance and adherence to all VAT and tax legislation and effective management of associated risks are undertaken.
* Leadership in Technical Accounting guidance.
* Managing of external relationships in particular with audit and tax advisors and MOD CAAS.
* Ensuring that monthly, quarterly and annual management, financial and statutory accounts are prepared to the Company timetable.
* Ensuring that the year-end statutory accounts and associated tax schedules are prepared to the Company's timetable.
* Support the business to optimise cash flow and working capital management.
* Ownership of the ICQ (Internal Control Questionnaire) process.
* Ensuring the integrity of the Oracle system and to support any ERP evolution
* Preparation of MoD rates and to support the negotiation there-of.
* Manager for directly reporting staff with responsibility for their daily operational activities.
* To support the Head Of Finance in AAD/PDDs (Annual Activity Reviews and Personal Development Discussion plans.)
* To support the Budget and Forecasting process, particularly concerning Balance Sheet and Cash Flow projections.
