Description
The successful Cyber Security Specialist will be part of Cyber Security Operations team were the day to activities include the monitoring and investigation of security events to ensure relevant protection is issued upon an attack. Furthermore assisting clients with relevant security issues, the management security incidents from start to finish and undertaking the monitoring of system breaks/fixes activity.The successful candidate will be leading highly confidential Cyber Security incident response investigations.
Providing comprehensive client reporting. Ensuring that all events and alerts of note are raised in relevant reports and comprehensive and helpful.
Further duties of the role include identifying and carrying out all activities in line with Cyber Security policies and procedures. Documenting and preparing reports on relevant findings and participating in the improvement and development of processes and procedures. Previous experience in mentoring and coaching colleagues on IT and cyber security would be beneficial.
Required experience:
- Experienced Cyber Security specialist worked in a similar role/position
- Network protocols, TCP/IP
- Windows, Linux or OS X
- Network & security infrastructure
- Various security tools (anti-virus, spam email & data loss prevention)
- Cyber Security processes and methodologies
- Must have proven track record of delivery in a multi-disciplined environment.
- Demonstrable experience of security related incidents and work requests.
- Familiarity with industry leading security products.
- In depth knowledge of SIEM toolsets.
- In depth knowledge of Full Packet Capture toolsets.
- In depth Knowledge of Intrusion Detection Systems
Desired skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology or related degree
* Experience as a Security Analyst.
* Must have proven track record of delivery in a multi-disciplined environment.
* Demonstrable experience of security related incidents and work requests.
