DESCRIPTION:
Senior Performance Test Analyst will be responsible for the end to end activities (planning, Scripting, execution and reporting) of Performance testing (as well as Non-Functional testing) of the Enterprise Risk Systems (Sungard's Adaptiv).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review requirements, specifications, and other project documentation to determine the best approach to performance test new or updated functionality
- Develop Performance Test Plan to meet the project's business requirements.
- Develop performance testing framework for batch processing, web services and web protocol.
- Responsible for leading and performing hands-on activities (Scripting and execution) for this Performance testing effort.
- Create performance test scripts (batch processes, web services, web, etc.).
- Execute Performance tests (Load, Stress, scalability, etc.) to validate performance requirements.
- Analyze test results, identify/isolate issues and identify areas for performance improvements
- Provide necessary recommendations to solution/development team based on test execution results/analysis.
- Utilize monitoring and profiling tools to detect, isolate, and resolve issues proactively
- Work with infrastructure teams to ensure performance testing environments are appropriate for valid performance testing
- Develop overall Non-Functional Test Plan to validate Non-Functional requirements.
- Analyze complex Requirement documentation and derive testable Non-Functional testing requirements.
- Responsible for identifying and designing the test scenarios for the Non-Functional testing.
- Support development of manual and batch/automated test scripts for all the Non-functional tests (eg role-based security, extensibility, operability, recoverability, system maintenance & Data retention requirements)
- Communicate Non-Functional and performance testing results to the QA Team Lead in a concise and timely manner
REQUIREMENTS:
- A university degree in Computer Science/Information Technology
- A minimum of 6 years of Performance testing experience in planning, Scripting (code development), execution, results analysis and reporting.
- Strong Performance testing experience with Batch and Transaction processing, Web services and Web.
- Proficient with testing tool such as HP LoadRunner, Jmeter, HP Performance Centre, HP ALM and HP UFT.
- Advanced knowledge in SQL queries and OLAP cubes
- Strong understanding of Key performance metrics in distributed service oriented architecture and Knowledge of XML technologies (SOAP, JAXB, WSDL, XML)
- Possesses in-depth understanding of Non-Functional testing (ie Security testing, Operability testing, Fail-over testing, etc.)
- Possesses advanced analytical skills for complex problem solving and able to manage multiple priorities
- Must possess a strong knowledge of capital market's risk systems - knowledge of Sungard's Adaptiv risk systems is a plus.
- Good exposure to performance monitoring and analysis tools (Wily, Mainview, Apptune, Unix/Linux utilities)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
