ITIL ConsultantThis role is responsible for identifying, planning, delivering and communicating opportunities to improve IT business processes. This will include business process analysis, specialist advice to strategic and operational teams and focus on ITIL based IT management processes. The role will also help to identify suitable process owner helping them develop process improvement goals for the processes they own.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Defining, delivering, reviewing and updating process documentation for IT.
- Develop documentations standard for the way in which IT processes are both record and communicate
- Implementing a delivery plan for improving business processes within IT, ensuring team buy-in and wider communication of the improvements and opportunities for learning across the organisation. This will also include the definition, agreement and delivery of process improvement related objectives.
- Establish effective relationships across the University and with appropriate external organisations to ensure that IT is delivered successfully and IT processes are continually improved.
The Person
- University degree or equivalent preferably in Computer Science or Business Administration
- Evidence of Continual Professional Development
- ITIL Certification
- Proven experience ITSM process analysis and design working collaboratively with both IT professionals and customers to develop and document ITSM processes.
- Business analyst including drafting business cases, documenting workflows and offering specialist ITSM advice.
- Experience in using IT Service Management Software
- Experience in working with senior management and stakeholders to ensure successful IT delivery
- ITIL Service Management best practice including comprehensive knowledge of all processes which contribute to the ITIL Service Lifecycle
Solid understanding of IT Governance, Management, Services and Solutions
