Description
We are currently recruiting for a Senior .Net developer to commence a 6 month contract in the beautiful city of Cork, Ireland. This will be a technically challenging but highly rewarding position for the right candidate, working on an enterprise ecommerce application for a major US client. The successful candidate for this role will have a minimum of 3 years commercial experience implementing high traffic web applications with highly dynamic user interfaces.Essentials
- 3+ years experience implementing high traffic web applications with dynamic UI.
- Minimum of 3 years commercial development experience in C# and ASP.Net
- Experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, AJAX, JQuery and other
- Experienced in implementation of front-end components for speed and cross-browser compatibility
- Knowledge of modern JavaScript programming patterns
Desirables
- Exposure to .Net 4.5 and MVC 4
- Knowledge of WCF, ADO.Net, SQL
- Extensive experience converting visual designs to HTML, with an acute eye for detail and design fidelity
- Event.js, Node.js, Knockout.js, Modernizr, Angular.js and LESS would be beneficial but not essential
- Exposure to agile development practices, especially SCRUM based, would be beneficial
- Knowledge of dependency injection frameworks such as Spring.net would be beneficial but not essential
- Awareness of code management solutions such as Team Foundation Server and Git.
- Comfortable with Test Drive Development using mocking frameworks and libraries eg. RhinoMocks, Moq, MsTest, NUnit, Qunit etc
- Familiarity with mobile web development on iOS/Android devices and Responsive Web Design would be beneficial
- Knowledge of popular social media plugins, such as Facebook and Twitter, along with their relevant APIs
- A portfolio showcasing a track record of creating strong User Interface development experience
