Senior Technical Delivery Lead - Global Investment Bank, Singapore
Strong technical facing architect required to form part of Ops IT Securities IB stream with a stream of projects lined up in comings years to meet the regional regulatory and market mandated requirements. Position will be predominantly JAVA heavy requiring stakeholder management abilities within the banking domain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect, design and develop solutions for portfolio of applications in cash securities IT space
- Accountable for providing effective IT solutions for these applications
- Act as a SME for various technologies; (predominantly) Java, plus .NET, C++, Sybase, Oracle, MQ
- Address problems of higher complexity, often spanning across multiple components or systems.
- Interface with architects, PMs remotely
- Should lead design decisions and discussions
- Required to work in a complex and fast paced environment.
- Engage and coordinate with the team to drive the quality of our delivery by using process standardization and best practices
- Face off to senior business and IT sponsors within APAC
- Responsible for keeping IT & business informed of Application/Platform and Markets changes impacting their business/realm.
- Accountable for regional production stability as an application delivery manager.
Key Compentencies:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering with equivalent experience.
- 4 or more years of Financial Industry/banking experience
- Can work independently as well as team oriented
- Dynamic, pro-active, flexible and able to multitask.
- Strong technical skills/experience in terms of processes, systems and methodologies
- 12-15 years of experience in application development projects
- Extensive hands-on technical expertise on (predominantly) Java, plus .NET, C++, Oracle SQL/PL/SQL and Sybase
- Extensive experience in high-volume Batch processing
- Strong knowledge of batch processing, scheduling in Control-M and DB modelling
