Description
My client, a major international bank, has a senior opening in their Global Markets Product Control Team. As Head of Credit Product Control, the ideal candidate will have exceptional knowledge of IFRS accounting, and have strong exposure to ABS products.
Role Purpose
* Ownership of Global Markets balance sheet and p&l
* Strong Application of Accounting Standards
* Balance Sheet variance analytical review
* Ensure consistency between Front Office and general ledger p&l and substantiate all differences.
* Work with Accounting Control to ensure inter-system accounting integrity
* Escalate unsubstantiated account balances through the monthly balance sheet certificate process
* Assist Accounting Control with identification of reconciliation break owners
* Resolution of reconciliation breaks identified by Accounting Control
* Liaise with Central Reporting and Central Finance as necessary regarding detail of Global Markets Balance Sheet and financial disclosures
* Liaise with Operations as appropriate to address balance sheet reconciliation and substantiation issues
