Front End Developer - Drupal - European Commission - Brussels
For one of our projects at the European Institutions in Brussels, we are urgently looking for a Drupal Developer.
Main tasks:
- Participate in the development of advanced solutions in web applications and websites.
- Design, develop, test and maintain presentation interfaces with optimal usability/user experience
- Provide the framework for A/B testing on our production environment
- Perform Quality Assurance and ensure that there is an adequate coverage of our applications by automated functional tests.
- Produce quality code that is well documented, and in accordance with system and technical specifications
- Liaise with other project teams as necessary to address cross-project interdependencies
For this role you need to have experience in:
- Core Specific Competency is Drupal in implementation and creation of distributions, system administration, and architecture
- Solid and proven experience in front end web-based development: HTML5, CSS, XML, JSON, JavaScript, jQuery
- Proven knowledge of database modelling and building (MySQL, Oracle)
- Proven experience in PHP development
- Experience of responsive design and UX best practices, along with fast prototyping (e.g.: interactive mock-ups) approaches and tools
- Experience with writing and maintaining automated tests for web applications, and using them in the frame of a continuous integration approach to development
- Experience working in agile environments using Scrum (or similar) and via innovative/interactive techniques to engage customers during project
- Ability to cope with the fast changing technologies used in web applications management and willingness to learn new technologies with fast experimentation cycles
- Experience with Selenium HQ automated tests is an asset

Fluent in English and French is an asset
