Cognos Reporter/Modeler - Cognos v10.2, Framework Manager, Business Intelligence, Agile, JavaScript
Exciting 12 month Contract role available for a proven Cognos Reporter/Modeler with strong Cognos v10.2 and Framework Manager experience. Suited candidates recent experience of building industry proven models/reports for the Cognos platform and will have proven Business Intelligence background with an Agile environment. Any JavaScript experience is highly desirable. You will be a leader who can showcase the BI accomplishments to the rest of the team and stakeholders when the occasion rises with the ability to deal within a multicultural and distributed environment (ability to communicate effectively in a conference call setting)
- Develop Cognos BI reports in v10 according to specification
- Liaise with business analyst and business owner to gather business requirements and to define business processes
- L iaise with Quality Assurance Analyst to ensure requirement compliance and test coverage
- Liaise with the UI development team to undertake Proof of Concept/interactive design tasks as necessary to prove dashboards and reports will meet requirements and can be integrated in the User Interface package/custom layout.
- Deliver the expected artifacts with applicable quality standards and performing as expected to the business environment and end user.
- Integrate with an Agile Scrum team
- Effectively communicate with the rest of the Scrum team (Product Owner, Developer, QA Analyst and Business Analyst).
- Indicate performed and upcoming activities as well as known impediment/issues.
- Express issues in a clear, consistent and understandable manner (written, verbal)
- Take ownership of all assigned tasks and project related assignments.
- Ensure direct communication over email/ticketing chain to ensure timely resolution of identified issues.
