Description
We are currently seeking an experienced SC Cleared Senior Procurement Delivery Manager to provide commercial input to the wider client's strategy on supplier engagement. Travel to other sites will be expected in order to elicit requirements for the future contracting models.
Essential Experience:
- Military Procurement with commercial would be a great advantage.
- The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- A proven track record in both public and private sector procurement;
- An in depth technical knowledge of Commercial practice;
- Good knowledge of Public Procurement Directives;
- Good knowledge of defence commercial policy & processes;
- Delivery and project management of business change;
- A proven track record in delivering supplier relationships;
- A proven track record in delivering savings in procurement;
- Experience of process assessments and re-engineering;
- A proven track record in delivering contracts that maximise client value and engage the supply chain.
- fully qualified member of CIPS (MCIPS)
The key activities required under this contract are:
-To build on and expand client's existing portfolio of S&T framework agreements by eliciting requirements for future contracts from the business;
-Lead on defining a strategy for our future S&T frameworks which ensures efficiency in contract placement and value for money;
-This includes the development of commercial models which facilitate supply chain engagement and maximize the flow of research funding to supply chain members that contribute innovation.
-To speak to existing senior commercial staff to understand client's business and elicit lessons from the past;
-Provide a methodology, process and any appropriate templates for implementing future agreements;
-Engage and communicate the new methodology, processes and templates to client's in-house commercial staff;
-The successful candidate will deliver to the Procurement Optimisation Programme Manager and technically responsible to client's Chief procurement officer
Desirable Experience:
Leadership, hit the ground running.
Demonstration of a deep understanding of public and defence procurement processes and directives;
Demonstration of a breath of experience in designing procurement frameworks for contracts in excess of £10m;
Demonstration of strong experience in leading procurement change within organisations;
Demonstration of strong experience in designing strategic procurement approaches to meet business objectives;
