About Us

The Calgary Chamber of Voluntary Organizations (CCVO) is a bold advocate and champion of the nonprofit sector. We promote and strengthen the nonprofit sector by developing and sharing resources and knowledge, building connections, leading collaborative work, and providing leadership on cross-cutting policy issues affecting the sector as a whole.

Summary

CCVO is seeking an experienced individual/company to design and build a database driven webpage, preferably integrated into the existing CCVO website, including interactive data visualization of the collected information.

Project Description

For the past seven years, CCVO has been collecting data on the state of the Nonprofit Sector in Alberta. To date we have been presenting this data in a static report (http://www.calgarycvo.org/wp-content/uploads/-Alberta-Nonprofit-Survey-Web.pdf), and are looking to move to an online portal that presents viewers with new and historical data in a more interactive way.

We seek to create a flexible reporting engine for a series of annual datasets. This will require the creation of a standard database to draw information from, as well as a finished web page to display the data. This will enable users to quickly and easily filter data, by size, subsector, and region to isolate and compare the information that matters the most to them. The information will be presented to users as online interactive infographics, and developed according to modern web standards, with accompanying support technical documentation.
