Senior OSS Software Engineer - Telecoms, Dublin Ireland
Our client, a global in telecommunications and infrastructure business, is looking for an experienced Senior OSS Software Engineer to join a growing team of professionals. The role is based in Dublin, Ireland for an initial 6 months, on a contract basis with a good rate and opportunity for career progression within an expanding business. This role is ideal for an experienced Software Developers or Software Engineer, with hands on experience in OSS and Java development, who wants to take that next step in their career.
The role will be responsible for guiding our customer's software development on research and development projects, focusing on Java based Server Side software.
For our customer, we are looking for an Senior OSS Software Engineer with 5+ years of experience and strong team player. The role will require occasional international travel to other vendor and client sites.
Additional skills include;
*Experience with Java development and programming, as well as Web UI and GUI
*Good knowledge of XML
*Strong knowledge of the telecoms domain and industry
*Very strong experience in product design.
*Solid understanding of mobile network management issues and solutions
*Ability to create and follow project roadmaps
*Bachelor or Master Degree or higher degree in telecoms engineers, computer science or a related subject
*Deep understanding of Object Oriented software systems design
*Previous experience working in a research and/or development organisation is desired
